Things to Do at the Vineyard

Things to do at the vineyard:

There are plenty of fun things to do during your time at Burntshirt Vineyards!  First and foremost, we recommend you taste our fabulous award-winning selection of wines in the Tasting Room.  Wine tastings are $10 per person ($15 for private tastings and groups of six or more; groups of six or more require a reservation with at least 24 hours notice) and comes with a complimentary Burntshirt Vineyards wine glass to take home. Also available is our wine by the glass or by the bottle.  Don’t forget to ask about joining our wine club for discounts on wine and merchandise. That brings us to our next recommendation, Shopping!

Our tasting room is filled with all the accouterment a wine connoisseur would want in their home, so while you’re purchasing your favorite Burntshirt wines, make sure you also take home anything that catches your eye!  From bar towels with catchy sayings to hand made wine stoppers and Burntshirt branded merchandise, we have anything a wine lover could want.  Beyond the world of wine, a quick visit to The Shed will yield treasures for your home decor.  Don’t forget to bring home a reminder of your fabulous time at the vineyard!

Tour the Winery:

Each day at 2pm we run a tour of our state-of-the-art winery.  See how the magic is made from picking the grapes, extracting the juice, fermenting, and storage in our crown jewel, the Barrel Room.  This 1,700 square foot space mimics the caves of European wineries and features our exquisite bottle and barrel chandeliers.  Plan to have your next big event here for a special occasion!

Don’t sip and shop on an empty stomach!  We have two great options for culinary treats during your visit:  Box lunches from A Day In The Country, and the seasonal Vintner’s Table Food Truck (open April-November).  Give us a 24 advanced order and we’ll have a box lunch available for you from our friends at A Day In The Country.  A menu is available HERE.  On the weekends, our Vintner’s Table Food Truck is available with sandwiches, salads, cheese boards, and other wine-infused nibbles.  Check out their selection HERE.

Most weekends we feature some of the regions best singer-songwriters.  Check the music calendar and plan to hear some great local and traveling acts while you enjoy the surroundings and savor our wines.

Enjoy the outdoors:

While you’re here, enjoy the cool mountain air and enjoy the view of our rows of grapes from our covered patios.  Enjoy your glass of wine by our stone fire pit or have a game of Corn Hole to work up your appetite.  Take a stroll through the meadows and visit the Barn for a picturesque scene.  You might find some hints of the property’s past along your stroll!
